Food Revolution Day

Today Key Stage 1 explored an exciting recipe from Jamie Oliver! We made our own scrumptious sandwiches! For our filling we used celery, tomatoes, beetroot, cucumber, avocado, lettuce and apple! We even added houmous and cottage cheese before having a taste! Delicious!! Miss M ๐Ÿ™‚

Wow what a super afternoon we had playing Netball last week! Our Year 3 and 4 team played against a team from Moira and displayed some fantastic skills! We were super impressed with the quick passes and excellent shooting skills, but most importantly how well we all played as a team and worked together!

Looking forward to our next match!!

Young Voices

On Monday, children in Key Stage 2 had the opportunity to be a part of the Young Voices choir, a choir made up from 6,000 children across the Midlands! For the past few months the children have been working hard with Mrs. Rundlett getting ready for the concert! It was a long day, with a full rehearsal before the concert at 7pm! The choir did Measham proud! ๐Ÿ™‚ Thank you to Mrs. Price, Mr. Fisher, Mrs. Blundy, Mrs. Rooney and Mr Hamm!ย

Owls show a real talent for computer programming using Kodu

Link

Children in Owls have enjoyed learning how to create a new world for their computer games. Several children ย shared ย what they had learnt in front of the whole class, that way we could all learn new things together. Great effort Owls!

Recently, Owls have been creating charcoal and pencil sketches on our topic of coal mining. They were inspired by photographs of Measham Colliery and some of the miners who worked there.
